Natural pigment workshops, botanical art, sensory exploration, creative dance, storytelling, artistic recycling and intergenerational experiences. We aim to nurture curiosity, imagination and respect for nature.

Family programmes: creative days in nature, intergenerational workshops and educational activities for children and their accompanying adults.

Kids' workshops: natural pigments and botanical art

In natural pigment workshops, children find out that colour can come from plants: leaves, flowers, seeds and roots become materials to create with. Botanical art adds looking closely at nature and the wish to respect it.

Adults have their own workshop version: see botanical art and natural dyes with NOMA.

Creative dance, storytelling and sensory exploration

Creative dance, storytelling and sensory exploration complete the workshops. They are three ways of putting into practice what these activities seek: curiosity, imagination and respect for nature.

Movement is one of the project's practices for adults too: see dance and movement at Flora Flow.

Creativity and nature: two values for the youngest

We want children to have time to observe, experiment and create. Creativity and respect for nature’s cycles are the starting point for the activities we are preparing.

Artistic recycling and environmental education

Artistic recycling makes art from reused materials and ties in with Flora Flow's ecological commitment: reducing waste, protecting biodiversity and offering practical environmental education.

In the space Flora Flow envisions, the experience garden is meant for exactly that: connection with nature, discovery and practical environmental education. The images are illustrative and represent the project's vision, not confirmed facilities.

Family and intergenerational activities

The family programmes plan creative days in nature and intergenerational workshops, where children and adults of different generations create side by side. The adults who come with the children are part of the activities, and intergenerational experiences tie in with the community Flora Flow envisions, open to people of different ages and backgrounds: see the Community & Culture page.

The envisioned space also has a children's creative space, for sensory exploration, imagination and artistic experiences, and an open-sided wooden pavilion with a hand-painted mandala on the floor and sound instruments: singing bowls, a gong, a frame drum and wind chimes. The images are illustrative and represent the project's vision, not confirmed facilities.
